Hill Country Weavers started 35 years ago in a very small space with a little bit of yarn, a small loom, and a very BIG dream. The store has grown to be a Texas destination for all things fiber, filled with yarn made close to home as well as around the world. We showcase local designers who are inspired by our unique hill country landscape and the relaxed Austin lifestlyle. The result is a little bit country, a little bit rock n’ roll

35 years. That’s how long we’ve been providing yarns, instruction and support for the fiber artists of Austin and Central Texas. Its been an incredible journey so far and we hope you’ll all join us as we embark on this next one. After over 22 years on South Congress we’ve outgrown our space (and our parking!) and have made the big decision to relocate a few minutes south to a bigger and better space. Look for our new place later this fall and here’s to another 35 years. We can’t wait to see what you’ll make with us.

I moved from Travis Heights to Southwood seven years ago. I watched an old Travis Heights home move into the neighborhood on a flatbed truck. I rejoiced when Vulcan Video relocated this way, and now, Hill Country Weavers. This neighborhood just keeps getting better! Welcome weavers!
